Has anyone on here ever installed a 14 bolt in a wagoneer behind a quadratrac transfer case? I was wondering if the offset creates a problem with driveline vibration.
A friend of mine just gave me a dana 300 with 4 to 1 gears but I do not have the money to get the th400 adapter yet, but I need to get it up and running with the 14 bolt.
My wagoneer is a 1978 with the 401, th400, quadratrac.

IIRC, they use different u-joints. You'll need to figure out which d-shafl you are going to use and I think you can get one of those morfidited joints.

Someone will chime in to correct me, I'm sure....

You driveline wont know that its at a compound angle..

You might have a problem with driveline to saddle tank clearance issues.

Angle is an angle is an angle. It does not matter what direction it is going. As long as its within the operating range of the u-joint. With that said, blt2krl here ran a QT in his wag with a 14FF rear axle for some time. He was running an SOA.

It should be noted that if you have anything less than an SOA, the dif will squish yur fuel tank.

I'm going to be running a soa setup with 4 inch springs and a 2" body lift.
I'm hoping I can fit my 39.5x13.50-15 Irok swampers that I had on my 79 j10. I know I will have to do some fender trimming on the wagoneer to fit them without rubbing. My wagoneer only has 89,000 rust free original miles so It will be hard for me to cut the perfect fenders:(, but you do what you have to do. I thought about moving the rear axle back a few inches to give the rear door a little more tire clearance. I see bj's offroad sells bushwacker fender flares for the wagoneer. That might be a great option. My j10 looked great when I was finished and It was great offroad.
I'll post some pictures on here when I'm done.
