Since my jeep has a Buick 350 in it, any chance that the radiator that clearly says PLYMOUTH across the top is the original one? i figure someone swapped it in, but it was a nice clean swap, even have half fan shroud...:banghead:
It leaks anyway so It will be replaced, I was just curious..

I took the rad out of my gladiator to a radiator shop...they sold me a mid-60's chevy impala radiator...it bolted right in, very little mods. I run nice and cool so far, even with the 455.

I figured it to be the by-product of dodgy 70s QC and the mix n match nature of FSJs

Well I was down the junkyard tonight, sorting scrap out, looked into the back of a 1964 Impala, and there on the back seat was the original metal fan shroud, light surface rust, but very nice...Might just make its way into my Truck :drivin: I'm like a kid at christmas in a junk yard....

A member by the name of Osok (?) has a Buick 350 radiator for sale. It's for a manual truck so no trans cooler. PM him, I'm sure he'd be happy to get ride of it.
Here's a writeup on someone installing a tuarus fan in their rig with a custom shroud. This can be done with a minimal of tooling(you don't exactly need a sheet metal brake) A very clean install and it'll save the need to hunt of a fan shroud (they are made of unobtainium anyhow)

If you had the old unit recorded you could have a bung brazed into the tank nearby the ontlet to install a two speed temp sensor. you'd then have the ultimate in temp control.
