I'm hooking the EGR on my 78 back up, and can't seem to find a definitive picture that shows which CTO nipple the EGR vac line hooks to - upper or lower???

TIA ;)

... On the 1981 360cid the bottom goes to the carburator. The top one goes to the forward delay valve where it is split(tee) and sent to the ERG valve and the thermal vacuum switch(TVS).

Hope you have fun at Gilmer...

Good luck and http://www.michiganjeepers.com/forums/images/graemlins/wave.gif and … CUL.. Don S..

Mine only had two ports, so it didn't matter which got hooked to which; ported vacuum went to one, and the EGR to the other. At the proper temp, the CTO opened the passage between those two ports.

Thanks for the replies Don and Bob, sorry I couldn't get back to you sooner - went to Lake Bridgeport with my sons Scout troop for some canoeing this weekend. Man could we see stars! Mars is getting REALLY big and bright too!

My CTO has 2 nipples, and I believe the 49-state version didn't have a delay valve. So with that, it would be a straight and simple vac line from EGR to upper, and another line from lower to carb.

Sound reasonable??

Thanks again!
