I agree with Tex, they don't match the letters on mine.

The wording is in all caps, whereas it should be all lower case. Most likely incorrectly reproduced decals.

The bird on the hood (what I can see of it) doesn't look right either. It should be almost completely filled in with gold color IIRC.

Ah - that clears that up. Remember seeing the Golden Eagles back when they were new (and I was under 16) but haven't seen one up close in 20-something years so the details escaped me...

The pics of the eagle on the hood are not very good:eek: so who knows!! This may or may not be a clone:confused: But owner has posted VIN# so VIN# should tell us if this is a true GOLDEN EAGLE or CLONE:banghead: right or rong:confused:

Nope, package info isn't in the serial number.

You would have to have the codes from the plate under the hood to decipher that.

I don't think it's an original GE. The script on the tailgate and doors is wrong, and I'm betting the bird is incorrcect for that dark a color.

However, you can kinda see the slight gold tint to the rear side windows. So I think it may be just a badly repro'd decal somebody restoring a GE used.

Haven't we seen this one before over the last few years? If the paint and graphics are in good shape, who cares if it is not original? I don't think the graphics add any particular value to the sale. Now, the 401........ :D
