will a 70s modle j-cab bolt down on an 83 frame with little fab work?

directly bolted on? or do the mounts have to be moved?

Not ever having actually done it, I cannot answer for sure. I know the floor pans changed very slightly in 1980 as did the frames. That doesn't mean that the mounting points changed. Grab a tape measure and do a little cypherin'. I think it will bolt on. One of the best guys to maybe P.M. about this is CrazyJeepMan. He has taken apart more FSJ's than most of us have seen.

i was supposed to be gettin an 83 cab but i havent been able to get ahold of the guy for about a month. looks like im gonna have to go else where for a cab, i was just wondering about the 70s cabs fittin cause i like thos cabs better for some reason. lol maybe its just the lil visor over the windshield.
