OK gentlemen after reading about 27 articles and 100 posts im comming to the following conclusions. Im not saying this is for sure so if im wrong correct me. It seams as if when we discuss this conversion we are missing a big point. I hardwired my Conv. therefore I have no resistor wire. Ive checked and theres not one in my harnes. the red/white stripe wire is 12v for sure all the way thru my rig choke,coil and module. And from going over to the ford site Ive found that all TFI coils run on 6-8.1 v or they will get hot and burn up eventually. Now from some of the posts I read if you snag a harness out of a truck it has the resistor wire already built or so Ive read "somebody correct me if im wrong. This would make a huge differrence when I started out if i knew this.
