350 engine swap & wiring

Can the ignition box be trashed? if a chevy 350 is dropped in place of the 360, i'll be using an HEI, what other wiring can be deleted?

Also the 76 j20 nevr had a charcoal canister can one be add on to take the fumes out i smell under the hood..some guys was wanting to take them out! i thought it could be placed under the fender or battery box to clean up things.

Yes, ignition box can be junked. GM HEI uses a single power wire for the whole setup.

Don't know that adding a charcoal canister is going to get rid of your fumes, but you can add one if you wanted to. Personally, I'd find where the fumes are coming from and take care of that instead.
