Cleaned up the bellhousing and V8 spacer for my T18 conversion this weekend only to find a crack in the bellhousing! This was a mated pair I picked up a while back but I am not sure from what year. The numbers on the bellhousing are 3210949 and the 5" spacer bolted to it are 5353898. Can anyone tell me what year these are from? I am trying to make the manual conversion in my 79 WT Cherokee and need to correct bellhousing. These numbers don't match what I have seen in other posts. I will need to replace the bellhousing but I need to get the right one.

The bell p/n shows it's from a 71 or earlier 304/360. The 72 and later number is 321 5152. The spacer/adapter number shows 79 and earlier V8/4 speed.

Thanks Joe. These two were bolted together when I got them so it looks like a PO must have made up the combination. Does this mean I should replace the bellhousing with a 3215152 for use in my 79 Cherokee? If so, do you know what transmissions share the same bellhousings (people seem to list the bellhousings by transmission model).

AFAIK, any bellhousing behind a T18 or T176 will work as long as your T18 has the 4 bolt butterfly pattern. You can even get one from a baby jeep T176. The spacer on the other hand comes in many sizes.

What about the T4 or later bellhousings?
