So I'm not looking to sell, I love my jeep. I was just looking through the SUV trader yesterday and was astonished to see a 74' waggy 401, th400, np205 with "O.K." paint and a small lift for $4000 and a 87' GW good shape power everything but stock with 103k miles for $9900. This seems super high to me! I got my 77' for free and haven't spent $2500 on it yet in three years, my 67' was only $500. Is this just So-Cal or have you guys seen the values of SJ's going up?

You think thats high, check out the ones on wagonmaster.com for sale. They are usually mint condition with low miles but come on....

No, not at all. At least not in this area of N Texas. With fuel prices skyrocketing I expect the value of my rig to equal that of a Big Gulp.

I went and spoke with my banker last week and just out of curiousity I ask what my '89 Grand Wagoneer was valued at... She pulls out the book of "collector" vehicles and looked it up. Average to good condition was right around $3600. Now I have not idea what criteria is used by I seriously figured it around $1500 (wouldn't sell if for that.) But I was, to say the least, a bit shocked.
