How do i check for gas flow?

Ok here it is, my wag still wont start and im begginning to wonder if it is a fuel related problem, i replaced the fuel pump (mechanical)and now im thinking maybe no gas is getting to the carb, how do i test to see if i have gas flow without the wag running.

Take the fuel line from the carb and slip on a piece of hose. Direct the hose to a suitable container and have someone crank the engine. There is a screen in the tank at the end of the fuel pickup tube that may be clogged.

You could also have someong mash on the gas peddle while you look down the carb to see if fuel squirts down the intake. Be careful they know not to start the engine. Maybe disconnect the coil.
