X3 on Warns!
By "premiums", you want hubs that make 3/4 of a full turn to engage or disengage.

How about going to a full-size Jeep parts only site, you wouldn't have to dig through all the different part numbers and you will always get a part that fits a FSJ, not an XJ, CJ, YJ, etc.

Also, if you find a cheaper price, we'll beat it.
Thanks!

Why ya got it apart, might not be a bad time to look at the bearings & stub axles & needle bearings. (If ya haven't already.)
I can get ya a photo tomorrow...I'm at work right now, but I'm off tomorrow.

For the vintage look: Selectro
For durability and 4X4 bling: Warn Premiums
For off road bling: No lockouts, just slugs.

Pretty much any decent parts store should be able to get them for you. They're going to be the same as a fullsize chebby hub. It's a very standard internal mount lockout hub.
As mentioned, too, there are a few pretty nice FSJ only sites around that will give you a good deal and better service. ;)

For a D44, Jeep OEM hubs. Theya re superior to the warns that you can buy today.
And my main dislike of warn premium is that there is no positive engagement. You rely on a spring to push the locking cog into place. Which can sometimes cause a poor engagement and lead to hub failure.

Premiums are lifetime guaranteed, You can take them to an authorised dealer and exchange them. You just need to maintain them regularly.

Very true - that is, IF you can get the premium OEM hubs. I've seen many that do the 1/4 turn for engagement, and those are NOT premiums. I found my Cherk's hubs on ebay - NOS "Jeep Special Equipment", still had the wrapper in the AMC box. The small print on the lower right corner of the instruction manual says "by Warn Industries". :D 3/4 turn for engagement.

Yeah, J-Truck's got the 3/4 turn hubs. My J10 came with them, and I got a NOS set of 3/4 turn Jeep hubs for it, kept the old ones as spares.

"SELECTRO'S" ARE THE BEST ONES.:D Nothing like trying to engage that big ol' hub handle when your hands are cold and your struck in mud.

They didn't all get em...mine had the factory 1/4 turns. My guess is they were an option...like everything else...seats, radio, steering wheel...amc cheaped out on anything and everything they could. :D

I was also looking at the dyntracs because they are mounted deeper into the wheel well...more pricey than the wanr premiums, but they would be set deeper and less prone to be smacked on a rock...what do you guys think???

Warn Premiums. Lifetime warranty is nice, and you probably won't need it.
I've smacked my Warn Premiums on rocks so much that the metal is chipped in places. They have scratches, grooves, etc in them. I check them after obstacles, along with everything else, and make them rotate to keep them from getting blocked by deformation. So far, so good. I broke both inner 35 spline shafts this last run, and the hubs are fine. Not a good true-strength story, but if I break chromo's and not hubs, then I'll stand up on a box and let people know for sure.

A deeper dished wheel helps greatly - I run 15x10's on the Cherk with 3" backspace. There is NO way my hubs will ever smack an obstacle unless I flop it on the side - on a pile of big very jagged rocks. :D

Or you turn or slide into multiple pointy rocks. From the picture you posted, I can't see the hub, but don't be fooled.
I have 16.5 x 9.75 rims with 4 5/8" backspacing and 15" wide tires. My hubs don't stick out at all when I'm deflated (wheeling), and are about flush with 30 psi. My 12 bolts on the rims haven't taken a beating much at all, especially compared to my hubs. This is the best pic I could find of my hub not sticking out:

Got a straight edge across the outside edge of the rims (which btw is 2" inset of the sidewall bulge) and the outer edge of the lockout is 2.1875" inset from the rim. Definitely would worry about sliding into jagged rocks, but the Cherk has been in some hairy rocks at Harlan with no issues other than scraped paint on the rim edge and chunks torn off the Iroks. Nothing like Steve taking his though Lion's Den though.
