When i first got my wooden bundle of joy. she was looking sad.she had been sitting under a tree in Seattle, coffe molded into the cup holders gas spilled every where. That was the least of my problems. My engine was rebuilt and had 45k however all good things most go wrong. it was not well kept. she was running off of 7 cylinders, vaccume leaks every where. on top of all that my carb cought fire and blew up. Now i got the truck for free and put well over a grand into it. But after two years of good ol Jeep love'n I have this...

Nice! That is the absolute best feeling. Sometimes after I have put a little bit of work into a car it is fun to park it and watch people look at it. Ok maybe I am a little bit obsessed, great looking truck!

I can tell you are proud of your Jeep. It is a beauty!
I bought mine in 95 and it was in decent shape for a street vehicle. It had the typical clear coat peel. I fixed a few things here and there, put a new headliner in it and 255-70 tires then got fresh paint and brush guard on it 97. I was pretty happy with it.

For shine and nice highway cruiser, it was in it's hay day. In 98 I got a lift and the beating began. :D

Looks nice! My '86 is still waiting to be worked on, and I've had it for almost 4 years now :o
Just picked up an '87 last fall, and it's been fun. I am glad to have one to drive again, since my first car was an '82 Wag Limited. Wish I had kept that one.
Here's the '86:

And now the '87:

^^^This is before I cleaned it up; when I bought it every horizontal surface was covered with a thick coat of mold. After a thorough washing, it actually looks half decent.

What color blue is that? Looks great! Thanks! I was never that crazy of high metallic particles in the dark blue for 88, so I went to the dark blue AMC used in 83 instead and has very little metallic particles. The first couple years when it was real shiney and I waxed it regular, it would often look black. So I got what I wanted with that color and no trimming in the doors and stuff. I used to put floor finish on the sides. It's wood right? :D Like the liquid stuff for lanolium <sp?> floors seemed to protect the sides until I got out here on the edge of the desert (where the paint also cooked and faded).
