The way I understand it is that the frt and rear are different - 30 rear, 35 front. Can anyone tell me if this is true? I have found a deal on a locker but need to make sure it will work. Thanks.

The front Dana 60 is 35 spline on the inner axles at the diff.
The rear Dana 60 could be 30 or 35 spline depending on the year and make vehicle it came out of later model J Trucks were 30 spline rear Dana 60, while the earlier JTruck with 5 lug was 35 spline.
Ford made a 35 spline rear D60, most are 30.
Really need more info from you to be able to tell you more.

The locker is for a 30 spline D60. My D60 is coming from a newer model Ford. From what you have told me I think I was on the right track and the locker will not work for my front. Thanks.

To be honest I only know for sure about the Chevy Dana 60 front, I am not sure how Ford frt D60s were set up. My guess is they were the same though.
