When I'm adjusting the fuel pressure, do I need to turn the adjusting screw in(clockwise) or out(counter)?
TIA,
Terry

I'm sitting at 17 lbs right now. Anyone now how much a whole revolution will change it?

If you are running an unmodified AMC-360 then that is too rich, you should be setting in around 13-PSI, go ahead and purchase an inline fuel pressure gauge, well worth it.

Been a while since I adjusted mine, but I believe that counterclockwise is less fuel pressure, not positive.

When the vehicle is running, cranking one way or the other will certainly be apparant by the amount of fuel (and smoke) coming from the tailpipe!

Get the gauge! That is the only way to ease your mind. Return pressure has to be less than 10-PSI, mine is about 2-PSI.

Thanks Joe. I have a guage in-line but would like to get the pressure down before I start it.

When the ignition switch is to the On but not start position, the ECU should power up the fuel pump and the injectors should prime and pulse for about 1 second. You can adjust the fuel pressure at this time by cranking with the allen head.

Set her for 13-PSI, and then close the throttle plates all the way with the screwdriver adjust idle screw in front and set the TPS to whatever it says in your documentation.

Now crank open the idle adjust screw like you might a carb, so that she will start and run. Once she idles and runs OK, you can start the adjustment on the Digital or the Analog ECU as needed.
