Me, the wife & the older kid (5yrs) took the cherokee down to the Hot Springs ORV park this weekend with some friends. We had a blast, the wife got scared a couple of times & the kid screamed - I loved it!

The cherk is still bone stock with new (they came on it) 235/75/15 Big O "all terrains" - yeah right, on it. That kept me to the 1 & 2 rated trails, but I was still flat out amazed how much a stock FSJ can flex. The guy behind me said he never saw me lift a tire all day - I all most didn't believe him! I only had to back down one time - badly washed out climb up a ravine & finally started dragging the trans crossmember.

I've had a bunch of CJ's & now also own an 05' Toyota Tacoma 4x4. I don't think a stock CJ could have done any better. Next on the list, 4" lift & at least 31" BFG MT's. :fsj:

Saw one other WT cherokee there, said he was a member, but never posts. I think I was running the most stock rig with the smallest tires (at least that I saw) all weekend. Can't wait to go back.:D

This is a hill we are about to climb! Really steep & the carb coughed about halfway up but didn't quit! The wife "You aren't really going up are you?"

This is the backside of the hill, off camber & pretty steep too.

A pretty good shot of one of the trails from the day.

This where I got hung up & had to back down. My buddy in the Rubi went up, but he had to lock it up.

The gang from the day. The Tundra was the only truck with any trail carnage & he had the most clearance! (smashed exhaust tip)

Passed through LR today on my way to Batesville, just north of 40 on Hwy 67 is a "dewooded" grand for sale, (going north it would be on the right) and across the highway is a older waggy with nice lift springs sitting behind a shop. Might be worth a look for some lift ideas.

I love Hot Springs, that place is awsome. Nice looking rig too. The first time I took mine out it was to Clayton, Oklahoma. I too was suprised how well the Wag performed in stock form.

Awesome place to go. There was a IFSJA get together there a few years ago. Not that many showed up but for the ones that did we had a heck of a good time. Great pics!

I have actually looked at the dewooded waggy, thought it was a cherokee at first - the guy want $3500 for it & it's in pretty rough shape. The one across the freeway from it gets moved around a lot but I don't ever see it leave the yard - at one time it had what looked like about 12" of lift on it!

Thanks for those pics... good motivation for me to get off my duff and figure out a way to get the choptop here and start working on it.
