rocker arm bolt torque?

how much should be used to tighten the rocker arm bolts? i've heard 23 ft lbs from one of the writeups on this site and 65-70 on froadin.com

WillyPete, according to the factory service manual it says for the rocker arm caps screw16 to 26 lb. this is for a 75 360 though if that makes any difference. M.G.

What Marvin gave you is correct for the early and late 258's and the 360/401's. Initial setting should be 26 ft-lbs.
