Some of you are familiar with my oil pressure problem. Low hot pressure while on the road and near zilch while at idle. Some lifter noise. 55,000 miles.

I have the opportunity to purchase an engine from a 91 wag with 90,000 on it. I'm thinking either buy it and rebuild it and throw it in mine or, buy it and throw it in mine while I rebuild the one that I have in it now. Which would you do and how much should one pay for such a motor?

Rebuild the other engine, then put it in yours. If you then want to rebuild your original engine, you can do that for kicks, for keepers, or to sell it.

By the way, what's up with the rest of that '91 GW?

Actually Ralph its from a '90, I missed the typo I made in the original post. The rest of the wag is being parted out, check the classifieds. I'm going for the electricals like door locks, window and mirror switches, overhead console, and plastic chrome trim.

Should I buy the tranny too? What about price?

Have you actually gotten a reply from Jim Bewley? I'm coming down there next week, to Arlington, and I'd really like to have a look myself.
