Some guys at the Jeep club looked at my CJ the other day and noticed I had the original cast manifolds on my 360 and said
never get rid of them cause they are like gold. Not knowing what they were talking about I didn't say anything. Do you guys
know what the deal if anything is with the original manifolds?

Well, I'm not sure what they meant but I would be surprised if they were original manifolds. The 360 in the FSJ has an output on the driver side manifold that would interfere with the clutch linkage if swapped into a CJ. I could be wrong but that was my understanding. The manifolds on the 304 in my scrambler were shot so I replaced them and got new ones off ebay for 40 bucks. I just made sure the output on that driver side was more forward than the FSJ manifold so it wouldn't hit the cluct linkage.

AMC drag-racers luv those(early 70's & no injectors)... for some reason, they flow very well. smile.gif

The "free flow" exhaust manifolds on 71 and 72 AMC 360mengines are valued for some reason. They are non emmisions versions of the manifolds used through 1979 as I understand it. I've seen them sold on ebay for around $200 a set. Not quite gold prices, but more than I would have thought they were worth.
