Too bad they were using it to jump bikes on!!!! This thing had NO VISIBLE RUST that I could see with the naked eye... not even in the flares (I don't know what those dark spots are in front of the flares, but it ain't rust)... I wished I could get closer to it to see what it had under it... oh well...

Well that figures, why take something all rusty and unwanted, when you can further destroy an old rust free vehicle? Old rust free vehicles must be so common everyone is trying get rid of them and nobody wants to buy old cars that have no rust on them, what would be the fun in that?

Time to grab a branch off the whippin tree.........Using it to jump bikes? Sheesh, they could've at least aired up the tires and hired me to detail it.

I read this last night and it p*ssed me off so bad that on the way to work this morning I came upon a group of Lance Armstrong wannabees so I put them in the ditch while shaking my fist at them and screaming....BASTARDS!!!!

Were they using bycycles.Im sure the vehicles were set up by a coordinator who knew nothing cause I dont see a bycycle enthusiast actually doing that.I would think they would know what they had when they found it.If its anything like the monster truck races someone brings them from the salvage yard and a setup crew stages the cars.:banghead: WHat a waste of an FSJ with potential.

Obviously a junkyard donation. You all need to blame the last owner for giving it up.:D

Well, that's newer than '78, so at least it's not a 401. Still wrong though. :(

That Cherokee is a keeper man! The body is better shape than the red/black one that showed up in Ouray last summer. :omfg: The QT could be too. :D This shows the good side here...

I'd ride my bike on that.... Sorry guys, but I was riding Bicycle Observed Trials before I was building jeeps. Gotta go with your first love.
Who was putting on the riding demonstration?

Poor, poor FSJ, man what a sad thing to see. One persons junk is another's treasure. Also I hope you were joking about the running the cyclist off the road. I too am one of those Lance Armstrong wannabee's I guess. Actually I no longer wear lycra visible usually underneath my riding clothes. I am more of a Mtn Biker at heart anyway. I had a baby Jeep swerve to run me off the road before and all I can say it hurt alot once I came to.

i'm a cyclist too, spent summer before last cycling to and from work... about 12 miles with LOTS of hills. did it again for a while in the spring, but called it quits after a lumber truck almost ran me off the road.
oh, and i don't wear any of those fancy clothes. jeans and shirt... sometimes a jacket depending on the weather. the wind drag sucks, but at least i don't look stupid. :D

Are you kidding?! If it hadn't been for that creek they dove into I coulda nailed 3 of em! Yes...I'm kidding. We live in the country and see them all the time riding the country roads. Matter of fact I can't count the number of times that I've picked a rider up on the side of the road with a flat tire and hauled them back to town. What's really fun is to catch a foreigner from up north visiting and give them a ride back to town. All you have to do is put in a set of "Bubba Teeth" then look over at them and say "You shore do have a purdy mouth". Heck...trying to keep them in the truck is like trying to stick a cat in a tub of water.

Did you ever think it might be your sheer size that frightens them, Scott?
I'm 6' 230lbs and would be scared to stay in a car with you if I didn't know who you were.

I believe that, if you look at the front hubs, it has unlocking hubs... so it must be a manual tranny truck OR it has been converted. It might be worth calling City Parts and asking them if they still have it or took it back.

Good catch Paul! I kind of figured it was really an early 80s with a 208. That would be worth calling the yard for. ;)

Don't know... it's darn beat up from having bicycles hopping on and over it... but it's got a 727/208 and both axles... interesting thinking about swapping that over to mine... we'll see... I'll sure let you know!!
