I ran across an 85 J10 here in AZ. Mainly a parts truck, but the body is in great shape. No axles, has 258/727/229 I believe. May or may not run. Glass all looks good. Asking $300. Is it worth it?

might be worth it if you can use some of the parts, and maybe sell some others?

Id offer em $100 and see what happens

Good beds, tailgates and front fenders are always in demand. Easily more than $300 there.

I'm thinking build here. Always wanted a J-truck. Just wondering if I'm getting in over my head.

Pic's always help, but I'm thinking along the lines of a hundred dollar bill.

If it were here in MI they would still be asking a grand for it at least.
"Rare Jeep pickup! Ran great when parked will only need a few things to make it road worthy again or a great offroad project, $2500 or best offer"

I say offer a hundo since they seem to be so common out there and weren't bought with the factory installed rust option.

Sounds like an easy project to me. Probably worth the $300, but what the heck, try and beat them up a bit.
Find a set of WT axles for $2-300, slap em in, thow it on Ebay for $2500 for us rust belt peeps.

Or, like you say, keep it if you've wanted one.

Rust free boxes have been known to bring $5-750 up here.
Tailgates $150-250 on Ebay

You guys/gals out west crack me up. Lets see here. Arizona truck in good shape. Cab is probably rust free. If I were to find a jtruck around here I would have more than $300 in floor pans, patch panels. Even if the truck was free. Which it would not be.
For a rust free cab I would give the $300 dollars and maybe an extra $50 so the seller could get a good free dinner and laugh, that he got $350 for an old truck.

People out west, PLEASE send this deals over to toledo, ohio, maker of the jeep where their are none left.:banghead:

looks like there are axles there to me. a southwestern truck is most likely not going to have any rot and very little rust if any. i'd take it, build it, and wheel it.

I guess he took the axles out after taking pics. I emailed him about checking it out. He said he has an axle to put under rear to tow it wherever I need it.

I went for 3 yrs and found 4 in a row (about 6months apart) for $200 each. I can't get the axle rebuilt in my '88 GW for under $450. JUMP ON IT!!!!!

Crap. Went to ad to get number and call, and it is deleted. Guess I missed out. :( Oh well, I really don't have a place to put a jeep with no axles right now. That is what I was waiting to find out about before I committed.
