Just installed the jcw weatherstripping on my doors (recomended in a post a few months ago.) and I'm pissed. I thought I found a real bargain, but water leaks every time it rains. The stripping itself went on easiily and I used plenty of sealant around the bottom. The doors are a bit hard to close and I think this may be causing the problem. Any reccomendations besides springing for the factory stuff at $90 per door. Thanks

I have only heard bad things with JC Wimpy seals. Leaks or the doors are hard to shut.
Did you try the bone yards ? I have found good seals in the U-Pull It yards. Enough to make one or two good sets. You might find a late model wreck and grab the seals for cheap.

Well, I don't have the leaking but am much better at slamming doors now. THe problem seams to be (at least on the 1970) the area by the dash. I was thinking of trying a smaller bulb size strip in that area, but, yea, the JCW stuff, generally sucks.

I used a heat gun (or maybe a hair dryer) to heat all of the gasket up real good then close the door and leave it overnight.
Works for me with the jcw stuff
