Well that junk I put in did fix the problem, and it was leaking through a bolt in the manifold, how that happened I don’t know but I hope it don’t lead to more problems....

Now I took my jeep for a 10 min ride (un registered) and I find that if I slam on the gas it backfires through intake system, I had this problem before but it was worse, I put a delay thing on and it helped alot, should I just add another?

Also I loose LOTS of power at 45mph.... Almost like its cruising, maybe thats a vac advance prob too(related to the above?)

well, if you have the performer intake, I had the same problem, and I know other people has as well. I cant remeber who it was, but they told me to replace the PCV valve. I also put liquid teflon on the bolts and that has taken care of it. I dont know about your other problems, my mind doesnt handle alot at one time :D ;)

regarding your intake manifold leak. is it one of those deals where there are different length bolts for different holes? if so, maybe you mixed up a few on the install and that is the source of your leak.

Well it sounds to me the intake did not go on as well as it should have. Since you have a coolant leak at the manifold and head now the sympthoms of a vacumn leak I think you are going to be redoing it real soon :(

When you had the coolant leak did coolant get into the crankcase? If so you need to get all the coolant out of the oil. It make some time to do it but if you don't it will mix with the oil. The mix will start corroding the bearings and if left unchecked will cause you many problems. In addition to a vacuum leak you may have a plugged muffler or cat.

I don’t think any got in the crank case but I will change the oil *when* I register it...

I’m more concerned with it going into the cylinders, I will pull plug 1 today (the one that had the leak) will there be an indication if there is coolant getting in the cylinders? im pulling it to see if im leaning out... (The 35mph is not good, I will also drive it without the advance to see)

pulled it, it was white, so I adjusted the fuel and I can now get to 45mph... (almost speed limit) I am looking to adjust the "accl" knob on the projection, that might help...

I must say I get some ODD looks from my neighbors in that... :D
