Called to get my 35/12.50 BFG mt's today and was told it could be as long as Sept. cause they are on national back order. 4 wheel parts said the same thing. So my next choice is the Pro Comp Xtterains. Anyone have these yet or have any info or word of mouth about them???? Thanks Dennis

I don't have any info on the X-terrains.....they look like a good tire.
Have you thought about GoodYear MTR's? I have heard nothing but great reports on the MTR's....so I'm getting some. :D BTW they were only about $20 more per tire than the BFG's.

I am running the Pro-Comp XTerrains on the Camo Cow in 35"x12.50"x15" and am extremely pleased with their performance in rocks, sand and on the street too. I was surprised at how quiet they were. The traction has been just great and they look good too! Good choice.

I seem to remember reading a test not to long ago in one of the mags on this tire. they liked it alot.
Your profile does'nt show where you live but I believe it to be a good snow tire too if it matters.

I live in KY and for the most part it's mud and hills, some moderate rock crawling. 4 wheel parts has quoted me 4 rock crawler rims and 4 35/12.5/15 xterains mounted balanced and to my door for $905. Seems really good. Tire rack .com has the MTR goodyear for $153. Might try them.

I also have 35 X-terrains. So far so good. Mine do hum at about 40 MPH on the street but pretty quiet at all other speeds. They perform great and look mean.

the MT/R's apparently suck for mud. I've heard they're great for slickrock, tho.

So what backspacing did you decide to go with?

With 10.50 on right now, i am about 1" away from the rear springs. I think the rims are after market. So I will take one off in the morning and measure the back space. I figure going to a 12.50 adds 1" to each side(over a 10.50), give or take. So If my current rims are 5"bs, I'll go with a 4" bs. I think in what I want they only have 3.75bs, but we will see.
