Timing troubles

So the story goes......thus far anyhow

Re-built the carb, re-bulit the t-case,re-built the oil pump, new wires, plugs, cap, rotor. Excellent, the 401 runs great, now just got to do the timing. Adjusted the timing this afternoon now I have no power! She runs smooth as silk but it seems like someone swiped out my motor for a lawnmower engine. Played with the vaccum lines and still nothing. Please somone let me know what could be going on........thanx in advance

Did ya hook the vac adv hose back up to the distributor? smile.gif

Did you hook the Vac. advance to the correct port on the carb. One is more advaced than the others and would make a major diffrence.

Sure the timings not set to far back? You will maybe hear a knock (like cheap gas) if it is. Specialy up hill.
