Took my D60-2 shaft to be cut / resplined at a local driveline shop and just noticed on their site a FF kit.
I have no affiliation with them but since we have discussed it several times in the past, I thought I would share.

I have no idea what it costs or any details other than that link but it does appear to be 6 lug so I'm assuming it's possible on a dana 44 or model 20.

Anyway, I can ask more questions when I got back next week but was curious if there was any interest here...

Can you use switchable hubs on the rear with this?

Cool, I thought it was pretty interesting also.
They do axle shaft re-splining so I assume they can take a dana 44 shaft and make it 29 spline instead of 30. Mine is a model 20 also so peaked my interest as well.
GlennTX, I think it's a full floating kit in terms of bearings but not with selectable hubs like Warn or the others. If you look at the shafts, they are flanged at the end like a semi-float so that's my guess.
This is the only one I've seen with a 6 lug hub though, most others are custom or 5 lug.

I was planning on swapping in a 14 bolt ff, I wonder what the strength to cost ratio is on this kit..............phil

A 14FF wouldbe far cheaper and stronger.

  $859.00 Not the number i was looking for. I can't justify that kind of $$$$ into a D44

Well, actually I don't think that's that bad.
Most other kits are in the 1500 - 2000 range so it's a little less than what I expected.
In the pictures it shows the kit with a backing plate and drum breaks but wondering about discs.
But Pete, I hear ya, I just lost my job last week so can't swing it now.
Might make since for someone who has already invested gears and locker in a 44 or 20.
When building my 60, I figure $400 covers shortening the housing, shaft and brakes, $1,100 in 4.56, install kit, detriot and labor. So it's about 1500 total but I bet most of the cost is in those shafts, my guess is they are 250 each. Oh well, at least we know there's something out there for us.

I have a D60, I may have it Narrowed for my Wag. I think I can do it pretty Cheap. It can be narrowed by 6" without custom axles. This will bring it real close to the NT width. I need to check those measurements myself. I am seeing a variation in WMS to WMS measurements on NT WT and 14 bolt.

That's what I did, had the drivers side of the off set 60-2 narrowed 6" for equal length axle shafts and I figure a WMS to WMS of about 60".
So far it cost me a little under a 100 for the housing to be shortened and mitchell's asks 68 for the cut / respline, so 170 to narrow.

WOW Great!! I have extra right side axles so I won't need to have one cut. To me its better than the 859.00 D44 FF kit!!! Bummer though i thought I was the first to come up with the idea to Center an offset Diff!!!!

I never asked about brakes but seeing it in the website and the way it is pictured I do not think it does, and by the hardware shown can't be used for disc brakes.
