NP 231 in a wagoneer??

I have a 85 wagoneer ...360/TF727...and I am wandering if anyone has seen a NP231(1995 model from a jeep YJ) put in a wagoneer before?? How difficult would this swap be if it possiable?? Thanks.

It would work if you get one from a 6 cyl. with the 23 spline input. You would need to do a slip yoke conversion for the rear drive shaft and possibly a longer rear shaft or a shaft with a slip yoke installed in it.

I personally would upgrade the case with a wider chain and HD Slip yoke conversion but if you were to go that far it would have been/will be cheaper to just buy a 208 from an FSJ and have the rear shaft extended or get one from the donor of the 208.
