That's what I'm running. I thought it looked like a decent amount of clearance, but as soon as I wheeled it, I found out it wasn't quite enough. You will need to do a little trimming in the back especially.

I have 35s with a 4" so 33s are no problem. I never rub with 35s at flex with out a sway bar. And also drive shafts do not need to be lengthened. hope this helps

Major Woody, you don't have a Wide Track though right? I heard that you haev to do some fender triming with all NTs.

plus cherokees come stock a little higher than wags do.

Correct, it's a NT

With WTs you can fit a larger tire on than a NT.

you shouldent need to lengthen the drive shaft with just the 4". With a 6" the front will need to be, but the rear may not. A drop pitman arm is not a must, but you can use one if you like. I dont have one, and bump steer is basically not noticable.

I put 31" on my 81 wag with a Rusty 4" lift about two months ago.. I think 33's would be too close.

No dropped pitman arm, bump steer was noticable but I got used to it. I will put in a pitman arm later.

Here is a link to a thread about my lift. It includes pictures

I'm confused now, I just ordered a 4" Rusty's Lift from BJ's OFFROAD, for my 88 GW NT, do I need to trim fender's with 33's, or am I better with having just 31's? And is a dropped pittman arm a necessity for sure???

Stuka - you are correct, I misread the thread. With a WT he should have no problem.

An NT is good for 31 inch tires, maybe 32. 33's are gonna be tight. I also noticed that with 31 x10.5 I get a little bit of rubbing when I turn the wheel full lock.

with my 31x10.50's i get no rubbing even under full articulation. Although the back gets really close.

cheifwidetrack; i would go with 31x10.50's with a 4" on a NT.

The 31's look really tiny on my J10 with the 4" rusty's so go figure.

TEX: a J-Truck is a WT, so you can fit 33's with no problems at all. Maybe 35's.

ok to those of you that put on Rusty's 4" spring lift, did you reconnect your front torsion bar? The reason why I ask is because after I installed the lift, reconneting my fron torsion bar, I sit at least 2" lower in the rear. Everything is level now, no rear left sag but the hight diff is bugging me. I put on the lift and drove cross country. I was hoping that the front would settle as I have a 258 and not a 360, but the drive from Florida to Washington State didn't do much. Do I need to add 2" blocks in the back or should I dissconnect my torsion bar. Now it will need to wait since I am deployed right now.

Zorm, is that a 4" sping kit with add-a-leaf in the rear?

No kong, that springs all around. If I was close to the Cherokee I would get the number off the rear springs and email Rusty to see if maby he cage me the wrong springs

When I ordered my 4" lift from Rusty's, it shipped with 6" front springs instead of 4" front springs. If the front spring pack has 5 leafs, it is a 6" spring. If the front spring pack has 4 leafs, it is a 4" spring. If you got the 6" spring pack you have a couple of choices, remove the bottom leaf (the shortest one) to make it a 4" spring, or add 2" blocks to the back for a 6" lift. In this case, don't forget longer brake lines, dropped pitman arm, possible drive shaft lenghtening, maybe that's it. I took out the short leaf in mine (now kyj10 is using them) and the rear seems to be almost one inch lower than the front, and this is after at least 5 months of driving.
