Took a normal pickup truck toolbox, cut it in half and added end caps. Also put in a new floor as the original is swiss cheese. I need a sheetmetal brake. But I still got it done. Hopefully tomorrow I can get it welded up and painted.

These are going to go in the cargo area behind the rear seat. I need to figure out a removable mount though. Any ideas?

I'd take two square door hinges, and bolt them to the floor in back of your FSJ. Use bolts to secure to the box for the hinge to slide into. That way when you remove the boxes, the hinges will lay flat in the cargo area, and the only mod to the FSJ is a couple holes in the body. It'd keep em from sliding around, but wouldn't hold in a rollover.

or get jiggy with it and make a swing away safety bar that would latch side to side with a pin release, that'd be trick. I'd truck line the insides of em too.

Do you plan to put them side by side in the back?

Yes, I do. Probably just run one for daily and put the other in for wheelin trips or when I need the extra storage.

Mount. Not exactly what I wanted but it will do for now.

Added some old worn out hood shocks to lift and hold the lid, works great.

Also fully welded up the back end piece.

I run an Alum box instead of a back seat in My Chop Top .. how I mounted it was .. was a plated welded to the wheel opening each side ,,the tool box drops down over the studs stickin up and 2 nuts eachside hold it down from the inside ,,,

since its lockable ,,the only way to remove is to unlock and unbolt,,
