88 gw heater motor upgrade

A while back, I was searching through the archives and came across a GM or something swap-out for the heater blower motor. The difference was that the GM motor was for heat and AC so it generated a much greater volume of air. Since that lucky day, I have not been able to relocate that thread. Does anyone remember anything about this?

uhhhmn, its the same old htr blower as the 81 ,mebbe even older. If you got low heat troubles, it isnt the blower. Either the core is plugged, the thermostat is stuck open, or the box is full of leaves and stuff. My Fsjs have always had great heat. Ive had a few blowers that wouldnt work on low speed, but Ive always managed to get them going by cleaning up the brushes and lubing the bearings. :thumbsup:

Yeah, I concur. I can roast myself out of the darn thing when I'm plowing, gotta turn the heat to the middle of the adjustment and then maybe even opena window. Sounds like somethings clogged......my 2c
