stabilizer bar during 4 inch lift

Hi Guys,
Will the stabilizer bar on my 82 J10 truck work after doing a 4 inch lift? Or, do I need to remove it? If removed, what are the consequences?

I tossed mine. No probs. Those leaf springs don't seem to sway much anyway.

I rewelded two sets of stock bars so that they were lengthened 4" over stock. You don't need them as much with the stiff springs, but they are nice if you do alot of higher-speed street / highway driving.

Don't try to reuse the old ones at stock length - it will probably bind up and limit full suspension droop considerably, if they'll even fit.

Thanks guys. I'll just remove them. I'll have very little highway driving. mostly lower speed secondary street driving. and, of course, off road.
