New (to me) wheels and tires

Ditched my 31" BF Goodrich A/Ts for some 33x12.50x15 BF Goodrich A/T KOs mounted on 8.5" American Racing Outlaw II wheels:

The back two have about 55-60% tread left but the fronts only have about 25-30% tread left. The guy I bought them from had a CJ with a 360 and trac-lok and I guess he liked to use the skinny pedal. Got all four for only 75 bucks so I can't complain.
Also I don't plan on having these more than a summer or two, so I decided to see what it would look like with the white letters out. Still haven't decided if I will go with white out on my next set of tires.

i have those exact same wheels, got them off a member here a while ago.

white leters belong on anything that needs to look like its going fast.

....not trucks and not jeeps. :)

I think it depends on the paint scheme, and also on whether or not it's a truck or wagon. On yours I say in.

Not sure about in or out....My 87 has them out, but the 88 Stang has them in....racier. Alot depends on the style of lettering, in my opinion....

to veer off topic, anybody ever thought about getting some gangster whitewalls re-treaded with a mud tire tread, on an older Gladiator or Wag that would kinda be a cool nostalgic look?

I think that with the color of the truck, they look good OUT. I am usually a fan of having them in for ease of care. They look good out.

I would say leave them out since they are old and about wore out. that way no mount and dismount and possibly break a bead at a tire shop. and when you up grade my vote is BLACK out. BTW I dig the outlaw II's! nice score

Just from moving it around the driveway it is sitting noticably taller and the steering feels a bit tighter.

Honestly, I see nothing wrong with having the white letters out. Especially with BFG's ;) When I got my GW, the tires had the lettering out, and I thought it kind of looked good. My BFG's have the black side out, only because like you, I got them used, and the white lettering was worn from the previous owner. My next set of tires will have the white lettering out :)

NORMALLY, I would say black out...but on your particular truck and it having RAISED white letter BFGs, I think it looks awesome white letter out. I'm not voting because it wouldn't be fair in this particular case.:p :thumbsup:
