I haven't actually went out to look at my rig to see if it would work, but an idea just dawned on me. If you had a 70's style grill, that would leave the bump in the hood open (if you took out the filler piece), you could fabricate a ram-air type induction system using that gap. It was just an idea that I have been toying with. Anyone else thought of this?
Ya followin' what I'm sayin?

I like it http://www.ifsja.org/ubb/biggrin.gif

I think the DC folks say that 30 sq in of area is needed to make a ram air system really work. and that bump might just do that. 'course don't make any big waves or it become big gulp http://www.ifsja.org/ubb/biggrin.gif

hmm...yes I suppose it could become a big straw if that ever happened. The only wheeling that I will be doing (that I can forsee) will be at the Silver Lake sand dunes in Mears, MI, so I'm not too worried of my fording capabitlities. I think I'm going to have to start engineering a prototype!
