So how much of a whine should I hear in 4 low with a 89 GW. I was following the threads the other day on shifing proceedures and ralized I hadn't had her in 4 low in ages. I noticed a pretty good whine coming from Tcase or Trany?? not really sure. I was going straight. On pavement.
I have always noticed some noise in others non FSJ 4x4's I've had but this seemed a little much. Just curious what others hear...

What kind of cheese do you guys use with the whine? Mine is a gear drive so it sounds the same all the time.

i fully expected a cheese reply :D
sounds like i have nothing to worry about. it's just the normal whine. vintage 89, burgandy. just like the interior.

I heard a whine that started the minute I brought my '79 Cherokee home.
It went away when the girlfriend left. :D
The part that worries me is the "thrumming" I get. I'll start a new thread for that one...
