Sorry I'm behind the power curve, and I didn't want to bring my old post (TF727 Internals) back up, but thanks to all that answered.
The queation that I have is what could have caused me to loose 2nd gear? I really can't even say when it left. There was no sudden noise or anything that made me think something was wrong. Just seemed like one day I notice that I didn't have second gear anymore. It's like it wasn't even there. When I manually shift it into 2nd, it might as well have been shifted into neutral. No grinding, no whezzing, only the engine revving (like neutal).
So, is there anything that I could check (like the valve body) while it's still in the wagon? Or am I just going to have to suck it up, and get dirty, busted knuckels and pull the tranny?
