Tailgate open, Latch locked?

Trying to figure out why tailgate window
won't operate from key switch. Lower
window from front panel. Open gate. Push
around on driver side latch. Locks shut
(up position)! Can't close tailgate. Will
not release with tailgate handle. How
do I release driver side latch?

Pull the tailgate release handle and flip the latch down at the same time. Since it worked to open in the first place I assume you tripped it while the gate was open. Pulling the tailgate handle will not put it in the correct position by its self, you will need to flip it as you did to get it to where it is. Welcome to the Forum!!!! :D ;)

Hate to resurrect such an old thread...but that fixed my passenger side rattle! (Lift handle, turn latch at the same time). Thanks!
