Seeing that you're the powder coating guru how hard would it be to take a center cap that is pitted and strip it down then powdercoat it back. I was thinking use ceramic or chrome finish for the main part and if there were some way to add the red, white, and blue powdercoat to the center. That way you would have a great looking cap that never pitts and never needs polishing. [can't believe I just said that]

the cap is not the problem Scott/ well maybe if the pits go down into the pot metal/ but they can be filled up. it's the pita small letters/ JEEP/ that i'm having the problem with. i tryed a old emblem of the cherokee tail gate to see how it looked. i used trans teal, black and trans red. it looks ok but i'm not happy with it.

here it is after bead blasting. now you can see how small of a aera you have to work with. the red and the blue on top and bottom of jeep not so bad but getting them white small Jeep letters has become a challange for me.
