If the driveshaft turns approximately 3.5 revolutions, you probably have a 3.54, 3 revolutions a 3.08 and so on.

If you have not changed the differential fluid, might as well do that and then you can count the ring and pinion teeth. The ring gear is marked with the tooth count as well.

I thought the tags on my 76 were to rusted to read, a little light buffing made it readable...only applies if the tags are still on your diffs... :D
