I'm gathering parts for my future SOA so as to keep downtime to a minimum. Just to confirm, I'll need:

1. U-bolts - What size?
2. Perches - Purchase through Mopar or Summit
3. Brakelines - Stock, late 70's Chevy
4. DPA - Parts Mike
5. Shocks - What length?
6. Driveshafts - Will I still be able to use the stock driveshafts (at least temp)?

Thanks,
Brandon

1.you can use u bolts from your SUA setup, but you have to grind a little on the bottom of the cast diff
2.yep
3.go stainless steel braided! best mod I ever did! Rusty's has 'em. www.rustysoffroad.com (http://www.rustysoffroad.com)
4.yep...uh huh...or your run-of-the-mill lift company.
5.Rancho 5012 all 4 corners
6.nope, get the front retubed and the rear you can just put a longer slip section on it, done.

1. I would suggest new U-bolts.... age can dictate the need for new...

2. yup

3. GM 76-77 if you want... braided is better in the long run

4. DPA or X-over steering from Part Mike

5. After you SOA... you need to measure the length you need to be safe... don't pre-purchase

6. I ran my factory rear shaft with the SOA for about a year until I changed it... front was custom and had to get high angle CV

You forgot about the rear.... what will you do to compensate out back....hmmm.... rear shackle inversion maybe? ;) Check the link in my sig... :D

My site had info you might want to look at for your SOA... any questions.... just ask.
