I've been on Rusty's web site and seen a 6" kit for the full size jeeps, does anyone have this kit, how's the ride and is it worth the money.I would love to have the 6" kit for the 35" tires or would the 4" kit be a better choice.thks.

The 6" kit uses 4" rear springs a 2" rear blocks. It does use 6" front springs. The is kit is all spring.
I'm running 35s on my 82 j10 with a rough country 3" (they advertise it as 3-4" lift, why I'll never know) lift kit and 1.5" front lift shackles. I cut about 1" around each fender and rolled the sharp lips back in about .5".
The tires clear and do not make contact even at full steering lock & suspension compression.
They did contact the sheet metal before I did my "bodywork".
If you don't mind trimming, use the 4", if your paint and body is just too nice to do that, go with the 6" kit, or 4" with a body lift.

There is a ton of info out there on Rusty's product. Do a search with the word "Rusty's". I won't offer an opinion since I dont own his product, but you'll be happy you read other members experiences.
P.S. You might want to look at the Crawl Tech (http://www.crawltech.com/) site. I got a lower quote from them on one of Rusty's kits??

I should be getting my rusty's 4" this week and install this weekend. I have seen some pics of people that have it. You would have to do some serious trimming to run that large of a tire. I would go for the 6" it is awesome. I will let you know after the install how much I gain. I have 31's now with aal's but do not think I would want to put anymore under there. ;)

I have Rusty's 6" lift--got it installed right before Christmas then took it on a 2000 mile trip over the vacation. It rides well compared to the springs I had before, but pretty stiff when compared to the stock ride. Really lifts the truck too--it looks great. Here are the problems: the bushings on the front of the rear springs are too wide and had to be ground down. Some of the U-bolts provided in the kit were way too big, and I had to get new ones made to the proper size. The emergency brake cable has to be lengthened to accomodate the ligt--as this entails removing the gas tank I haven't done this yet. Be sure the transmission mount is in good condition or the front driveshaft will not clear the crossmember. I bought a polyurethane mount that raised the trans enough for the shaft to clear. I was fortuanate not to have to lengthen the front drive shaft--no splines are showing. Overall, I'm very happy with the lift, and can clear at least 33's without any fender trimming.

I second that!! I put J10 emergency brake cables on mine over the holidays!! Worked like a charm. I love my kit. Also check with Crawltech.com for pricing!!
