So the g/f and I were bored and decided to go play in the snow today... No action shots as I was the only rig there :( but we still had fun! Almost got stuck in about a foot and a half of powder and gnarly ruts.... but the heavy right foot and the good ol' jeep got us thru it all :fsj:

I was really impressed with the way she handle the deep stuff... I really wish I got out and took a few pics but i was a bit more occupied gettin turned around and gettin up off the mountain!

Hope you all enjoy!

No problem! Just wish we took a few more pics... oh well next time!!! ya the snow hit pretty good the last few days so I decided to take advantage of it!

This was actually McDowell Creek area... Unfortunatly they closed off Snow Peak other then for hunting season I believe... Really sucks b/c thats where we always used to go play around... Oh well, this place is only about 15 min from my apt so I dont mind! :drivin:

I knew that Weyco had pretty much closed down all of their ground, was why I asked. In a way you can't blame them with all the local yahoos tearing up roads and skid trails, vandalizing equipment, dumping trash, etc. It is so bad they refuse to even talk to organized groups.

Glad you enjoyed the fun up in the white stuff, I'm not that enthused about being cold and wet that much in my old age:)

Nice pics. I got out in the snow with the g/f last week. She was saying "So this is where I almost got stuck the other day." Of course being the dumb, stubborn male I am, I say "Naw, you just cant drive. WATCH THIS!" We were stuck about 30 sec after that, and calling her parents to come dig us out. Open diffs suck big time in the snow.

Small A/T tires suck big time in the snow.

Fixed! :D

goldhammer - yes it pretty ridiculous that people can take care of things, especially the wilderness!! I really dont blame them for closing it off either, i mean, leaving trash out in the middle of nowhere? grow the crap up already! I wish Darwin would take care of them... and soon...

mack_t - ya im a big fan of the snow and these last few storms have really been gettin me ancy to go play in it... HAD to take advantage of it!

charlie_b - good story! :D i kept picturing myself calling someone to come pull me out that day... was kinda nerve-racking but it gave me the balls to really lay into that skinny pedal!

LOL @ BRUTUS - **** A/T's!!

Thanks fulsizjeep :D i really am diggin it! I think it was a good investment even tho i dont drive her too often :o

thanks again for the comments guys! keep on keepin on! :fsj:

we are getting lots of snow farther north too (in the higher elevations), wish the cherk was done so i could go play in it. almost took the chebby up there tonight, but i was alone and i'm smart enough to know that its not good to start an adventure alone, espeically in the snow!
