Whas the driveline ina an 84 Grand Wagy?

Found an 84 Grand waggy that I might buy. Just wondering what the driveline is...engine, tcase and axles. The guy doesn't know too much about the jeep cep[t that he thinks its got a 360 and a amc 20 rear axle
So whats the tranny/tcase front axle?
I think the front is prolly a d44 (drivers side pig). He said it also has vacuum activated 4wd.

It should be a 360,although I think the 258 was still optional/TF727,unless it has 258 which then it would be a TF999/NP229 I think,maybe NP228/D44s front and rear,look at the rear axle if a D44 wi have a fill plug in the cover.

My 85 has 360/727/229. My 85 has A Dana 44 front and AMC 20 in rear. Since yours is an 84 it might be close to mine..

Same as the '85, except the d44 front axle uses a vacuum-disconnect system that is needlessly complex.
