after struggling getting the final tune in my EFI...I parked the FSJ and didn't mess with it for a week...

my problem was if I got the thing to work perfectly driving I had some huge struggles with it leaving a stop light and also backing off the throttle while at highway speeds it would stop running almost......so to make it drive well from stoplights I had to make it very rich every where else.........mine has a A/F knob, and also a load, idle and accel knob......so I backed off the A/F knob so it worked great and then added some idle knob to it and voila!! it works flawlessly!!!...even though the manual stated that the idle knob was only for "sitting idle".....but actually the idle knob also controlled partial throttle...!!

I don't know if this makes any sense to anyone but I am way stoked!!!! have a great weekend!!

yep, you just discovered the myth of the carb/fiu adjustments. they all tell ya that this knob or that screw controls the mixture at a certain condition: idle, cruise, full power, etc. HOWEVER, they dont tell ya that all those operating modes have a large amount of overlap! for instance: while sitting at idle, if i adjust the mid-range knob on the ecu, i can greatly effect the idle mixture, and vice-versa.

glad you were able to work it out. have fun!
