Hey guys,
so, I raised my 1973 J-2500 with 4" hell creek leaf springs. This was before BJ's sold the "kit," so i had to make an educated guess as far as which shocks, but I think i got it right. Anyway, when installed the correct way, the tube of the shock hits the axle, so I had to flip it upside down to make it fit. Is there anything i can do to move the mount on the axle out or anything so that I can run the shocks the right way?
also, I was texting my flex yesterday with measurments and all that, and even though the fully extended length of my shocks is 26.25", I couldnt getmore than about 24 inches out of any side. Could something else be limiting it? like the fact that my springs arent broken in? Thanks guys

This is a problem on all J-Trucks, its at its worse on the 80+ J10's with the M23 rear axle.

Only real fix is cut the shock mount off, rotate is about 30 degrees up, and re-weld it.

Oh, and for the limiting, its probably a combo the spring just reaching its droop limit, or the shackle wont let it go any farther. Springs not ye being broken in can have an effect on it. My 6" springs flex *WAY* better now than they did new.
