I just replaced the pressure hose on my Eagle. It would leak a quart out after oh..3 blocks. That would be my first check, and the cheapest to replace.

Lifted Eagle comes to mind.

Rusty, where'd you get your hose? I need to replace my return hose, but haven't even check into where to get one. Is it a standard thing Autozone would have, or will I need to get it made? Thanks,

Daniel

P.S. Dweezle, check around the hoses the fittings will come loose, wear out, or cut through the hose. They are certainly cheaper than a new pump

These pumps are notorious for throwing fluid out the cap. I have replace every line on my pump and there is still fluid on the pump. I actually took off my hood and drove around and saw it coming out the cap. I have since slowed it down with a new cap without the little vent in the top but every once in awhile she still spits some out.

My '87 GW has the same problem with the cap. Sometimes it will spray fluid all the way to the back of the motor. Othertimes it does not seem to spit fluid out as badly.

Mine drips from the bottom of the pump, but I have not yet determined if it is just fluid from the cap running down, or a loose hose...
