Well "Off-Road FSJ Tech" has been slow so I will post a few pics of what I have been working on this week.
I put some 16" 2.0 air shocks up front (not shown in thies pictures) and rebuilt the back frame section to lower the rear.

Most of the trails here dont have sharp breakovers, but very very steep inclines. There are about 5 trails that actualy have section that are upwards of 85* and climb 40-50 feet at this deg.

I must not understand you correctly.. It looks like you are saying that you think that you can climb an 85* slope that is 40-50' long... :rolleyes2:

Cant find the vidio frome trail in the woods. that is the one that has the 40+ foot vertical wall. Along with Imposable warn hill and concrete hill, oh and free fall which has an under cut wall that you drive down.
Most are not quite that steep problable more like 60* and the ones that are near vertical are not quite as long.

Yeah, thats not nearly 85*. 85* is essencially veritcal. Its steep though, and a longer wheel base would be handy there.

There is a dang near vertical wall at Tellico that those crazy "A" buggy drivers go up... you wouldn't get me near it... and they use lots of speed and wheelspin... I'm not saying it's 85* or anything, but it's beyond STEEP...
I haven't been there in awhile... some of you Tellico regs know what I'm talking about?

Yeah, I've seen those guys climb vertical faces. Those crazy Finns do it too (Formula Offroad in Finland). It takes a lot of power, a lot of tire, and a lot of balls (or just a lot of stupidity). They have crazy trucks though. Nothing you'd drive on the street and expect to avoid the DOT's hatred of paddle tires. LOL :D

i'd call that bonus hill 50-60 degree's tops. i found a vid of a tacoma on like 32's making its way up, so its a little hard to believe 85 degrees.
if you want steep, come out to oregon and play in the tillamook state forest. remember the old warn ad with the red cj winching over a real steep rock face? thats here at 7-up. warn does all of its testing here too.

With these F1 Offroad jeeps vids it kind of looks like Andrew at harlan. crash and all was that climd 80% Andrew? I know cream puff (@ harlan KY) is really steep near the top.
Brother if you got the nads to tackle a slope like you mentioned Please film it we all got to see it. We have seen Andrew flip and loved every minute of his vids.
You ll get a lot of respect if you dont kill your self trying.
Here your tip to th ehill climb stay on the skinny pedal:drivin:

i keep thinking he must mean 80% and not 80*. granted its only 72*, but not quite as close to vertical as 80*! ;)

Freefall is a fun trail, once you start down, you just start the slide and steer as best you can. Did it in a YJ with 31's and no lift. The concrete hill trail is a hard one, a girl did that one in an XJ on 31's with a 2" budget boost.

Superlift ORV park is a fun place, our jeep group is going to try to get back there in March.

This video shows an incident on an ACTUAL 85* slope... Look at all the comp guys that take huge running starts at it too... :rolleyes2:

Hardy harr :D
That was a combination of things Not just the shear incline of 80* or more  . There was the wind, a carb, the sun was in my eyes, i had a nasty sandwich before I tried, my wife couldn't hold the camera still, etc. It was tramatic to say the least.

Well 90* IS vertical. So 85* is 5* less than that. Just a SWAG, but I bet the rear window on a wag is around 85* to vertical.
