Well, picked up a Torker intake from Glenn this weekend. And finally after 8 years, I am going to modify one like I have always wanted to.

Nice lime green pastel color. Very manly and really fitting for a FSJ.
What color will the block and heads be? Pink?

erm...how are you going to keep oil from getting out? or better yet, dirt from getting in? The stock valley pan wont do that...

Paint stripper will come after I finish removing metal.
Nothing but a couple scratches on the bottom from a few inches of sliding.
As for the rest, just like the other intakes, I will be making my own bottom piece. Like the air-gap intake does now. This was just my first step. I still have to cut out the exhaust cross over next. Then take the die grinder and smooth it all out. I will most likely get a plate of 1/4" aluminum and fit it under it all as a flat plane and weld that on.

Here is the Indy intake. I plan on mine looking similar to this when I am done. And to give you a visual on how I will seal the bottom.

Okay...I'm confused.
Why would wanta to do this?
What is the end goal?
An AirGap style Torker is good for what?
How will your AirGap style Torker compare to the Indy unit?
I'm not trying to being a smart-aleck, just looking for an education

It seems that you have a severe hangup there Pascal. Reliving some child hood memories?
As for WHY an air gap Torker. POWER.
To keep your fuel cool. To keep a cooler carb and fuel in it. To keep the runners cooler which helps keep the air dense rather then having it expand at higher temperatures and cause detonation.
Note, this will be going my stroker motor, not a normal motor. So in fact the Indy intake would be better for me, but I don't want to spend that $ right now. And I have always wanted to do this. This will be a clean and fun little project.
