Just out of curiosity, I have been thinking about getting rid of my ZJ seats and replacing them with some from a Grand Waggy. I enjoy the ZJ seats, but i think they set just a little too long in the junk yard and the foam on the driver seat has degraded into nothing, making long drives a little uncomfortable. So i was wondering if its a bolt in or not, i can fab a little and i have a brother who works in a fab shop, so its not out of the question. Thanks

Should bolt right onto the brackets of your Chief. You may have to find a power source if they are power seats.

You can make anything fit with a little duct tape and baling wire.:D

I didn't know if they will. I know the non-power seats had the same 4-bolt pattern but I have never tried with a power seat. Would be worth a try though:thumbsup:

Very true. I had to had to cut two of the studs for the original seats out but i can tig weld some new ones in if need be. also are the grand wag seats, two bucket seats witha centerconsole, or are they like a 60/40 split.

The ones in my 88' and the 79' are a three piece. Two buckets and a console.

also, would a bench seat from a J truck work or would it hit the tranny hump?

It will work fine, floor pans only changed in that area with the change in transfer cases. Many Wag's came with bench seats.
You'll want one from a J-Truck that folds forward I would think although I'm not certian that will give you great access to the rear cargo area like a stock folding Chero seat does.
