I want to buy the U channel weather strip that goes in the rear window. BJ's said I need to rivit it in. Is this difficult? Do I need special tools?

you have to buy a little hand held rivet tool and the rivets of course, probably about $15. total

I just did mine. Drill out the old rivets (one on each side), remove the old. Attach one side with a pop rivet gun(available at most hardware stores) and then work your way up and over making sure the little metal clips are pushed all the way in. Don't stretch the strip but keep it tight. You should end up right on the other side's hole. Then rivet that side.
It's fairly easy and should be obvious when you start.
lol, my old strip was actually so brittle it came out in a bunch of pieces. tongue.gif
Good luck ;)

Which weather strip would this be? I replaced all of mine but nothing had rivets in it...

Thanks gang. I will get a rivit tool and order the part. Mine is actually falling out. (But the electric window still works....)

If it's falling out then the little clips are probably rusted, missing or tore out of their holes. The only place it gets rivets is at the bottom edge at each side, one rivet per side.
