Working on my interior. Bought some insulation from Menards that they carry in rolls for walls and water heaters and the like, Here it is going into my Naked Truck

My wife helped, I compare doing this to wrapping a present, She is much more patient with this than I am so her help was much appriciated.

my question is what is this thing and where can I find more. It is around the doors and I am using it to hold the carpet down and give it a nice finished look.

I have checked around but without knowing the name of it its difficult to find. Thanks
Jeremy

Looks great...actually looks just like the stuff I paid $25 a roll for at the swap meet this fall. And good to see another fan of the "natty ice"!!!

It was like 15 bucks a roll. and I still have some left off my first roll.

I tried some carpet adhesive to start, it was really thin and easy to get good coverage but I wasnt happy with how well it held in place so I used some good ol construction adhisive and its holding up very well. I just hope that I dont have to ever take it out.

I think the thing that you are asking about is the gasket that goes around the door. I know there are some companies that make the gaskets and seals and re-sale them. I don't have it handy now but try and google door seals or gaskets.

I did the same thing to my J20 the best thing to use to hold it in place is the aluminum tape (looks kinda like duct tape) but 100 times better. I ran it all the way from the top of the firewall to just below the back window and put in inside the doors after spraying the inside of the doors with rubberized under coating (Napa sells it) also took the headliner down and put it on the roof. It made a huge difference in queiting it down inside. They sell the aluminum tape at Home Depot right next to the insulation, it forms around corners and anything else. Make sure you get the insulation that has the plastic bubbles in the center of the insulation, if you use the kind that has the fiber type stuff it will hold moisture and eventually cause rust.

My computer moniter is old and does not show pics very well. If you are talking about the door seal you can get that at BJ's offroad. They also have the door sills to hold the carpet down after you get that in place. If that not what you are talking about then I am sorry for this useless post.
