I am trying to locate an overhead console out of a 90 or 91 GW in fair condition. I would like to put it in my 88 GW. Is this possible without too much headache?

The structure above the headliner should be the same from 88 thru 91. Now if you plan to hook up the gadgets that come with the console then I suggest a full Saturday and at least a six pack.

Just pulled one out of a 91. Need to cut two holes in the headliner, fit in a metal bracket and attach with screws (3 or 4) then slide in the console and attach with a couple of screws. The temp sensor is behind the left headlight, and the wiring harness runs from the center of the windshield along the left side and down the inside of the pillar between the doors. If it has the keyless entry, it will have another harness and plug at the rear of the console. Visors are shorter (18 1/2 inches from center of the pivot to the tip of the rod.
There is an 89 in a yard here that still has the console, visors are gone. Would include the temp sensor and wiring to the pillar between the doors. Unknown if any of the gadgets and widgets work. Needs recovered. Plugs to the visors have been cut, but enough is there to splice into. Checked price for someone else here, $45.00 the ride. Can send a paper pattern with it for the cutouts from the 91's headliner.
